Marketing Intern (Multiple Positions Available)

W&A Engineering is seeking self-motivated, creative, and innovative junior professionals to assist in corporate marketing efforts, including the management of our various social media platforms. The marketing intern will work directly with the business development and marketing teams to organize and create industry-specific content geared towards building engagement with our clients and employees. The marketing intern will have the opportunity to immerse him/herself in a rapidly-growing multidisciplinary engineering firm and gain significant, applicable experience in social media representation and content creation.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn accounts
  • Interact with clients, employees, and competitors via social media
  • Keep up with internet trends and social media algorithms to create relevant and timely content curated for the A/E/C industry
  • Create and schedule original, creative content optimized for various multi-media platforms to tell project stories and reflect the W&A Engineering culture
  • Assist with defining and implementing measurable strategies to meet our digital presence objectives
  • Attend weekly meetings with the business development and marketing teams

Requirements:

  • Current enrollment or recent graduation from an accredited university with a degree in English, journalism, communication, marketing, public relations, or related fields
  • Proficiency with InDesign, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, and scheduling software
  • Working knowledge of photo and video editing software such as Adobe Photoshop & Premiere Pro+
  • Ability to work a camera for both stills and video capture
  • Experience in social media representation and social media content creation
  • Familiarity with the A/E/C industry
  • Well-developed time management skills and ability to multitask well
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Exceptional verbal and oral skills with emphasis on professional tone

Proposal Coordinator

Locations:

Possibility for Remote Work Position

W&A Engineering is seeking a well-qualified individual to assume the role of Proposal Coordinator with previous experience in the Engineering & Construction industry. This role within the firm aligns with technical staff to develop winning proposals across client markets and both public and private sector projects. Working with the marketing and business development team, this role will coordinate all Requests for Proposal and Requests for Qualifications (RFPs/RFQs) coming into and out of the firm. Demonstrated organizational skills, as well as the ability to multi-task, gather, organize, synthesize materials, meet deadlines on time, and the ability to create technical content is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of proposals for public and private sector opportunities
  • Writing, editing, and proofreading proposal and other content to ensure proper messaging
  • Reviewing RFPs/RFQs to identify basic proposal requirements
  • Coordinating proposal review meetings, incorporate edits, ensure conformance to formatting and branding guidelines, and submit final deliverable to customer
  • Interviewing project managers and other technical staff to gather past project details and other relevant information
  • Updating information in project descriptions, resumes, general qualifications related to RFP/RFQ specifics
  • Serving as the point of contact to solicit, receive and integrate content from team members
  • Identifying graphics requirements and opportunities and coordinate their development
  • Researching project opportunities by searching online and by following up with contacts
  • Scheduling meetings and keeping track of the marketing calendar
  • Understand different websites and publications for RFP requests
  • Continually maintain project description marketing
  • Attend client meetings and business development opportunities
  • Work with marketing team to develop style guide and ensure consistency among documents
  • Additional work as assigned
