Greg Wilson, PE Appointed W&A’s Inaugural Chief Engineer

W&A Atlanta’s Greg Wilson, PE has been appointed Chief Engineer of the firm’s Civil Engineering departments across the southeast.

As Chief Engineer, Wilson will focus on solidifying standards for engineering work throughout the company, maximizing consistency in deliverables across departments in multiple states, leading work product QA/QC, planning strategic growth for Civil Engineering departments, and more. These efforts will target all elements of our projects’ lifecycles from initial proposal prep to design and project management to project closeout in order to provide our clients with the smoothest, most efficient, and most consistent process possible.

“We want every drawing, every plan, and every document produced to be consistent across our multi-state footprint,” Wilson said. “I plan on taking an all-encompassing approach to strengthen who we are and what we do to maintain the highest degree of consistency and quality across our growing team.”

Wilson will also be designing and implementing strategies to promote cross-functional and cross-office collaboration, encouraging open communication, and providing opportunities for team members of all stages to collaborate on projects no matter where they sit. This will create new skills and develop existing capabilities, increasing the professional development of our staff and the ultimate value W&A Engineering is able to bring to our clients.

Greg Wilson joined the W&A Engineering team in May of 2022 bringing with him over 40 years of experience in Civil Engineering design and management, as well as a passion for W&A’s core values and corporate culture. Wilson has an extensive and diverse range of project experience, including work on commercial, aviation, transportation, higher education, office, retail, military, industrial, utilities, sports facilities, residential, and hospitality projects.

Over his multi-decade career, he has successfully completed large, complex projects on five contents and throughout the Caribbean. Licensed in Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, and Texas, Greg brings a wealth of knowledge to this new position.

“At W&A, we strive to provide the highest-quality service available on the market, and we saw the opportunity for one of our team members to step up and lead the charge for our Civil teams’ next chapter,” said W&A Engineering President and CEO Jon Williams, ASLA, PLA. “Greg was the obvious choice to fine-tune our processes, and we are all so excited to see him take our Civil Engineering services to the next level.”
