The newest member of our Athens team, Greg Wilson joined W&A Engineering this month as the Director of Operations for our headquarter office. Greg joins the team with over 40 years of experience in Civil Engineering design and management, as well as a passion for W&A’s core values and corporate culture.
Having started his career in 1980, Greg’s nearly seen it all! He has extensive and diverse range with project experience in commercial, aviation, transportation, higher education, office, retail, military, industrial, utilities, sports facilities, residential, and hospitality projects. Over his multi-decade career, Greg has successfully completed large, complex projects on five contents and throughout the Caribbean. Licensed in Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, and Texas, Greg brings a wealth of knowledge to the W&A Athens Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, and Land Surveying teams.
I chose W&A Engineering for its core values and the philosophy and vision of our leadership. I’m excited to be part of the team and eager to help wherever needed.
Outside of work, Greg enjoys listening to, studying, and playing music with his son Gabriel who will be studying music at Georgia State University this fall. Having followed in with his jazz musician father’s footsteps, Greg plays multiple instruments and is most proficient in the guitar. He is also an avid college sports fan and enjoys the culinary creations of his wife, who is a GDOT District 7 Traffic Engineer.
At W&A, Greg is most looking forward to getting to know the staff and offering his leadership to the Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, and Land Surveying teams.
I believe in looking out for my people. I care way more about my folks as people than I do about them as just employees.
Though Greg works most closely with the Athens team, the entirety of W&A Engineering is thrilled to welcome Greg to our family. We’re excited to learn from his wealth of industry knowledge and grow in his leadership!
