One of the newest members of our Civil Engineering team, Lauren Garren, PE has joined W&A Engineering Atlanta as a Senior Project Manager. Before joining W&A, Lauren earned her Masters of Science in Civil Engineering and Construction Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2015 and brings nearly 10 years of experience to the W&A team.
An experienced engineering consultant, Lauren has experience providing total development solutions in a wide variety of land development project types, including senior living, hospitality, commercial, multifamily, single family, office campus developments, mixed-use developments and more. She is passionate about developing mutually-beneficial relationships that foster growth and collaboration, and she brings an “out of the box” perspective to her clients. A self-labeled “dot connector,” Lauren is a detail-oriented strategist with a penchant for urban development and downtown city center developments. Bringing a unique approach to her projects and passionate for building better communities, she has already proven a vital member of our Atlanta team.
“Initially, the family benefits and work/life balance drew me to W&A,” Lauren said. “My teammates have made the transition so easy and are all incredible people.”
Though raised in Augusta, Georgia, Lauren currently calls Alpharetta home alongside her husband, son, dog, and cats. In her free time, she enjoys spending time tending to her rose garden and visiting the lake with her family in Augusta, where she uses her competitive experience racing sailboats to venture across middle Georgia’s various aquatic expanses.
If she’s not in the yard or in Augusta, she can be found enjoying downtown Alpharetta with her family, scoping out their newest favorite restaurant, music venue, outdoor greenspace, and more.
