Bethany Rooney joined W&A Engineering in March of 2021 with over 20 years of experience working with multi-family, financial institutions, commercial, retail, and single-family projects. In just a few short months, she has already proven herself to be an invaluable asset with her infectious laugh and can-do spirit.
Bethany works in our program management department where she stands alongside our clients to direct and coordinate development and design activities through the entire lifecycle of a project. She fits perfectly into our team of hard-working, dedicated professionals who strive to build better communities all over the country, starting with our in-office company culture.
“I am excited to be a part of a team that is actively seeking ways to improve processes and become more streamlined and efficient,” Bethany said. “Everyone I have needed assistance from has been very responsive and helpful.”
Working remotely from Mountain Brook, Alabama, Bethany has enjoyed the many twists and turns in her career, having been able to maximize time with her children in their most foundational years and allowing herself the opportunity to serve in Haiti.
“I am excited to be a part of the W&A team and hope to contribute in a way that is supportive of the goals and objectives of our firm,” Bethany added. “I look forward to learning from my W&A team members, and I hope from time to time they learn a little something from me.”
In preparation for retirement, which she notes is still several years away, Bethany and her husband John have dedicated themselves to making the perfect cup of coffee. Bethany has declared herself Master Taste Tester, while her husband has embraced all duties of Chief Coffee Engineer. For Master Taste Tester Bethany, the perfect cup is one that does not require cream, sugar, or any other additive to make it delicious. She notes that, while they are very close, there is still much to consider and that the year-long journey has been fun-filled and exciting!
We look forward to learning from Bethany, and we’re elated to have her as a member of our work family. Welcome to W&A, Bethany!
