Project Description
The Retreat at San Marcos is an off-campus student cottage community built in 2012 and is generally located at the southeast corner of Craddock Avenue and Ranch Road 12 in San Marcos, Texas. The project contains approximately 48 acres of land that has historically been utilized as a residential homestead. The majority of the site is developed as a multifamily development consisting of 187 units consisting of primarily detached residential cottages, totaling 780 beds. In addition to the residential cottages, the multifamily contains a 2 acres of amenity area for use by the residents which includes, the clubhouse with fitness center, movie theater, and indoor gathering area, a swimming pool facility, recreation courts such as basketball court and sand volleyball court, horseshoe pit, putting green, and other uses. The Retreat at San Marcos was awarded the 2013 Student Housing Business awards for Best Architecture and Best New Development.
