W&A Provides BBQ for ESP Fall Festival

Extra Special People LogoW&A Engineering was more than happy to provide the BBQ for ESP’s Annual Fall Festival on Saturday, October 19th. W&A’s Jon Williams, Mike Greenlee, Justin Greer, Jim Bob McElroy, and Trae Rutledge helped in the efforts to smoke, chop, and deliver BBQ to Extra Special People, Inc. (ESP).

ESP is a non-profit organization that recognizes children with developmental disabilities and works towards providing them and their families with guidance and support while focusing on their abilities – not disabilities.  ESP’s Fall Festival is a free, fully-accessible event for children of all abilities in the Watkinsville area and surrounding counties in Northeast Georgia.  With over 100 volunteers and donations from several local companies, more than 300 children and their families were able to enjoy a day of Halloween fun with a haunted-house, face painting, a bounce house, cupcake decorating, hay rides, pumpkin painting, and much more!

Other than the Fall Festival in October, ESP hosts several big events a year including the Big Hearts Pageant, which W&A also sponsors.  W&A is committed to the ESP organization and its effort to locate a new facility in the Athens area.  The firm donates time and expertise to this organization as they continue to investigate potential properties. “ESP is a fantastic organization that serves a need for children who benefit tremendously from having a social and creative outlet with very attentive counselors.  We have enjoyed our association with ESP and will continue to support them in the years to come” Jon Williams, President of W&A Engineering.
