Progress continues on the Caterpillar facility. Interior finishing of the building is ongoing with electrical, HVAC and plumbing. The preparation for manufacturing equipment to be set has begun with the installation of interior foundations and equipment racks. On the exterior, parking lots have taken shape with tree islands, curb and gutter and asphalt paving. Construction continues to move forward on the PDC (product distribution center) with steel framing being erected. The overall site is nearing final stabilization as slopes are being covered in grass and paving is nearing completion.
Access road construction continues to progress along the new Dozer Drive and Orkin Drive. Curb and gutter has been completely installed and the first lifts of paving have been completed. Only the final wearing surface remains of the asphalt. Sidewalks are being installed as the last of the utility improvements get finalized in the right-of-way. Intersection improvements continue to take shape on both Atlanta Highway and US Highway 78. Utility installation continues to progress and final stabilization has begun with the grassing of slopes and utility easements.
