W&A CFO Martha McJilton Honored at Alma Mater

W&A Engineering’s CFO Martha McJilton has been named Marquette University’s Distinguished Alumna of the Year!

Martha earned her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Marquette University in 1987 and has been breaking barriers in traditionally male-dominated industries ever since. After a successful career as a Professional Engineer licensed in three states across the American Midwest, Martha earned her Master of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 1996.

Since, she has served as the Chief Financial Officer of several businesses in Georgia including Contessa Construction, Ellinwood + Machado, and, finally, W&A Engineering and Better Communities Collaborative. Here, she utilizes her 35 years of experience in the finance, engineering, and construction industries to grow and develop our rapidly-growing team.

A proud Marquette University alumna, Martha McJilton is a long-time mentor in the university’s mentorship program. Since joining the program, she has mentored 6 MU students, including Jackson Fornek who we had the pleasure to host at our headquarter office in Athens, Georgia just a few weeks ago.
