Progress continues on the Caterpillar facility. Interior finishing of the building is ongoing with electrical, HVAC and plumbing. The preparation for manufacturing equipment to be set continues. On the exterior, parking lot islands have been backfilled and are ready for trees. Lighting has been installed onsite and perimeter fencing installation has begun. Construction continues to move forward on the PDC (product distribution center) with steel framing and installation ongoing. The overall site continues to approach final stabilization as grass covers graded slopes and paving nears completion.
Access road construction continues to progress along the new Dozer Drive and Orkin Drive. The load bearing lifts of paving have been completed with only the final wearing surface remaining to complete the travel lanes of asphalt. Sidewalk installation continues to move forward as the last of the utility improvements get finalized in the right-of-way. Intersection improvements continue to take shape on both Atlanta Highway and US Highway 78 along with decel and turn lane improvements. Final stabilization has begun as trees get installed along with the grassing of slopes.
