W&A Engineering is excited to announce the promotion of Jim Bob McElroy, PLA, from Project Manager to Director of Planning. The Director of Planning position was established to facilitate and grow W&A’s national client base and to support the growth of our existing accounts. Over a nearly 20-year career, Jim Bob has gained extensive and diverse experience across the country, covering all aspects of site development entitlement, from concept to permitting.
In 10 years at W&A Engineering, his portfolio has grown to include projects in multiple municipalities across 36 states. This promotion recognizes Jim Bob’s unique ability to navigate a project through the development process in any market across the US. “Working in so many different and diverse communities requires a different skillset, and the ability to dig into codes, planning, and entitlement issues – Jim Bob possesses those skills. The new W&A Planning Department has been built around offering the best customer service for our clients, regardless of where their project is located,” said Jon Williams, President and CEO of W&A Engineering.
