A treasured member of our Nashville Civil Engineering team, Kyle Lao has been building better communities with W&A Engineering since 2019. As a Project Engineer on staff, he works with clients to turn their project goals into a reality.
On the Civil Engineering team, Kyle works on land development and site development projects, ranging from residential, commercial, office space, industrial, and state development sites. His favorites services to provide include site grading and drainage, stormwater management and hydrology, utility infrastructure, and soil erosion and sediment control plans, as well as the associated construction details.
His favorite part of working at W&A Engineering are the corporate culture and his colleagues.
“We have an outstanding team here, and everyone has such great personalities in addition to their incredible skill sets,” Kyle said, recalling one of his favorite past projects which required his team to innovate through 32 separate submittals and resubmittals before beginning construction.
In his personal life, Kyle is active in his church, often volunteering both in the office and performing field ministry work. He enjoys playing sports, working out, traveling, and getting involved in the Nashville culture scene! He loves cooking, especially French and Italian foods, Downtown Abbey, and trying out new hobbies. Though he is very passionate about building better communities through his work as an engineer, he would likely have pursued a career in the education or hospitality fields had he not pursued engineering.
