Growing with W&A: Meet Mike Bu, EIT!

We’re so excited to welcome Mike Bu to our Civil Engineering team! Mike has recently joined our staff in Atlanta, Georgia where he will be building better communities across the southeast providing creative and analytical engineering on each of his projects.

Mike joins W&A Engineering with two years of industry experience and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Engineering earned from the University of Georgia. While completing his course of study, he was involved in the Theta Tau Fraternity, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the Biomedical Engineering Society, Toastmasters International, the Health Guardians of America, Camp Kesem, IMPACT, the Vietnamese Student Association, and Intramural Soccer.

In his senior year, he designed the controls blueprint of HVAC systems for the entire Athens campus of the University of Georgia as UGA’s Mechanical Design Engineer Intern.

At W&A, Mike primarily works on site design for multifamily and commercial developments. He is excited to work with the W&A Engineering team and enjoys the close-knit feel of W&A Atlanta.

“My favorite part of working at W&A Engineering is the smaller office feel,” Mike said. “I like that I can be very hands-on with my projects here compared to other big companies.” In his free time, Mike is an avid soccer fan! He plays in an Atlanta-based league and watches every American and European game he can fit into his schedule with his pet beagle, Alex. If he’s not watching soccer or playing with Alex, Alex can be found in and around the Atlanta food scene, most likely in his stand-out favorite restaurant Rumi’s Kitchen.

We are so excited to have Mike Bu on our Atlanta Civil Engineering team!
