One of the newest members of our Civil Engineering team, Morgan Murdock, PE has joined W&A Engineering Atlanta as a Project Manager working primarily on single family and urban infill projects around Georgia. Having earned her bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a structural concentration from North Carolina State University, Morgan graduated in the top 10% of her class in spring of 2018. While in college, Morgan co-founded the North Carolina State chapter of the Food Recovery Network, and organization that allows college students to work with dining halls and local restaurants to distribute food, that would be wasted, to those in need in the community. She is passionate about volunteering, citing that W&A Engineering’s corporate citizenship efforts was a large driving factor for joining the firm.
“One of the biggest things that drew me to W&A is that W&A makes community service and involvement an equal priority to doing good work for clients,” Morgan said. “Staying grounded in the communities we live and work in is extremely important to me.”
Morgan is a dog mom to two pups, Tikki and Connie, and she loves staying active. Whether it’s salsa dancing, group fitness, trail runs, or hikes her dogs, she’s usually on the move! She’s lived in Atlanta for over 4 years and counts both the food options and great trail systems as her favorite parts of the greater Atlanta area. In fact, despite active exploration of both categories, Morgan’s never run out of options!
From her first day at W&A, Morgan fit in to our corporate culture flawlessly. Around the office, Morgan is known for her colorful desk and the vivacious energy she brings to the team.
“I really appreciate how open W&A Engineering is to feedback to ensure they are providing the best benefits and environments to help the employees be successful,” Morgan added.
We’re so thrilled to welcome Morgan to the family and are so excited to see all of the amazing things she’s able to continue to bring to the W&A Engineering family.
