Growing with W&A: Meet Travis Humerick!

W&A Engineering is excited to welcome Travis Humerick to our Nashville team! Travis joins our team of dedicated land surveying professionals with nearly 20 years of very diverse experience in excavation, surveying, machine control, and modeling across North America and Europe.

A Project Manager working closely with both our civil engineering and land surveying teams, Travis uses state-of-the-art software and technology to transform site drawings and CAD files into three-dimensional finish grade and subgrade representations of project sites, providing contractors with everything they need during production.

While many firms offer this service as a subconsultant add-on to project contracts, this often extends delivery times while decreasing accuracy, raising prices, and increasing logistical complexity by introducing additional points of contact. By having land surveying, civil engineering, and modeling services in house, our teams are able to maximize accuracy, timeliness, and competitive pricing to ensure our clients receive not only unparalleled personalized service but also unbeatable turnaround times, the logistical ease of a single point of contact, and service packages tailored to each project’s budget.

“I love my job!” said Humerick. “GPS is my passion, and I love learning new things about it, as well as teaching others how to use it.”

In addition to providing 3D and GPS Machine Control Modeling services, Travis is certified on the use and training of Trimble equipment, having led workshops and training sessions across the United States and Germany. From site set up and calibration to dozer measure ups to troubleshooting GPS, leading training opportunities on Trimble machine control and data systems, and more, Travis has been an excellent addition to our Nashville, Tennessee team.

“My favorite part about working at W&A Engineering is the personnel—no question. Everyone is really nice and willing to help out in any way they can. That is really hard to find with bigger companies,” said Humerick. “The fact that they want to help out and give back to their communities sticks out more than anything.”

We are so excited to have Travis on our Nashville team and look forward to seeing him build better communities for our clients across the country!
