Growing with W&A: Meet Travis Morris

Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Travis Morris, the newest member of our team of civil engineers building better communities in Charlotte, North Carolina. Travis joins our Charlotte team as a Senior Project Engineer with nearly a decade of experience in site design and a passion for leaving things better than he found them.

Travis earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology from Southern Polytechnic State University (now Kennesaw State University) in 2013. Upon graduating, Travis joined the industry as a Civil Designer working on storm-water design, sanitary/utilities design and layout, Erosion Control and Grading design, site and road layouts, details, and swimming pool design.

“I’m most looking forward to capitalizing on opportunities for growth at W&A Engineering,” Travis said. “I’m excited to expand my design experience to new states and improve both site function and aesthetics of all of my projects through the design process.”

One of Travis’s favorite projects in his portfolio is the River Spirit Casino Resort in Tulsa, Oklahoma. With a 27-floor and 483-key hotel, 30,000 square foot convention center, 50,000 casino floor, and 2,500 seat theater, the River Spirit Casino Resort holds a AAA Four Diamond Award for amenity design among other award-winning elements.

Originally from the Metro Atlanta area, Travis is actively engaged in fitness and music. His greatest professional achievement to date has been seeing younger engineers on his teams begin to effect impactful change with their designs.

We’re thrilled to welcome Travis Morris to our team of civil engineers building better communities across the southeast!
