W&A Engineering is thrilled to welcome Tyler Defino to our Civil Engineering team! Tyler has joined our growing team of professionals building better communities in Atlanta, Georgia as a Project Engineer.
Tyler brings extensive civil site design experience in single-family and townhome subdivisions to the W&A team. He is eager to continue to build his skillset and expand his portfolio with work in commercial, industrial, and multi-family sectors. In addition to being an Engineer-in-Training, Tyler is also a GSWCC Level 2 Erosion Control Certified Plan Reviewer.
Originally from just outside of New York City, Tyler Defino relocated to Atlanta shortly after graduating from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He has loved his proximity to Chastain Park where he and his girlfriend frequently bring their two miniature dachshunds Penny and Henry, who have already become office favorites with the rest of the Atlanta team.
“Thus far my favorite part of working here at W&A has been the fantastic office atmosphere created by the team here!” Tyler said. “I am proud to be joining such a passionate, hard-working group of engineers that seem to all be committed to a culture of continuous growth!”
In his time with the W&A Engineering team, Tyler has been impressed with several of the mixed-use developments the team has been working on across the Southeast.
“While just starting to get integrated into these projects, I am both impressed and excited to get more experience with projects such as these given the clear amount of coordination/teamwork required to ensure success with their ultimate design and construction!” Tyler said.
