W&A’s Kelsey Berry and Jim Lenahan attended the “Let’s Make A Deal” Georgia Economic Developers Association Spring Workshop at Brasstown Valley May 14th – 16th. The focus of this conference was on the before, during, and after involved in deal making. GEDA “put together a dynamic program that covered topics ranging from incentives and workforce development to public-private partnerships and prospect do’s and don’ts”. Berry and Lenahan took part in exceptional networking opportunities including Georgia Movie Trivia, dinners with scenic backdrops, and a variety of optional activities like golf and horseback riding. W&A was a Bronze sponsor at the event this year, which included a booth set-up outside the doors of the meeting rooms in the conference area at the resort. This show is always so valuable because the GEDA members are eager to network with the sponsors. The next trade show W&A will be attending is the 2014 Georgia Municipal Association’s Annual Convention on June 21st – 22nd.
