Project Description
Athens Medical Complex is a redevelopment of a previously dilapidated commercial development located on one of Athens, GA’s major commercial corridors. Located between the city’s two major hospitals, the Athens Medical Complex campus features two world-class medical office buildings totaling approximately 60,000 square feet. The first floor of Building 100 is home to the Surgery Center of Athens, a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center. The second floor is home to Georgia Neurological Surgery. Building 200 features a Kaiser Permanente micro-clinic with additional square footage on the second floor purposed for healthcare practice management and consulting. The site was redesigned in an overall campus master plan utilizing two multi-storied facilities with improved circulation, underground detention, and associated parking. As the project manager for the redevelopment, design services included campus master planning, site development planning, engineering, landscape architecture, and construction management.
