Creature Comforts Brewing Co., a craft brewery founded in Athens, Georgia, is a favorite among locals and visitors.
The brewery is located on 0.78 acres in a building that dates back to the 1940s. Wanting to maintain the heritage associated with their home, Creature Comforts used reclaimed wood for their tables, bar tops, ceiling panels, and wall panels. The efforts were appreciated and in 2014, they won an award for “Outstanding Rehabilitation” from the Athens-Clarke Heritage Foundation.
