Project Description
W&A teamed with the Oconee County Parks and Recreation Department to provide a masterplan for Heritage Park on Georgia Highway 441, south of Watkinsville. The project included multiple meetings with the parks department and citizen groups. Features of the park included largely limited use parking area, bike trails, a heritage center for the display of historic structures, an amenity pond that was also used for stormwater detention. After the masterplan was complete, W&A provided the engineering documents necessary to complete the first phase of construction and the require Georgia DOT improvement.
