Tennessee National Guard Open-Bay Barracks

Project Description

W&A Engineering was contracted by the Tennessee Department of Military alongside Gilbert McLaughlin Casella Architects to design a one-story open-bay barracks to include finishes, latrines, showers, laundry, office, and support space, mechanical and electrical systems, ADA compliant stairs and ramp, parking, and all required related work. Services performed included due diligence, topographic and boundary surveying, and civil engineering.

For this military housing project, W&A Engineering provided program verification services, schematic design, design development, construction documents and permitting, construction administration, and project closeout services. The barracks were designed to sleep 32 National Guardsman with accompanying restroom and laundry facilities measuring a total of 3,685 SF.

The project was finished in Summer 2021 on time and within budget.
