It is with great pleasure that W&A Engineering announces Michael Greenlee’s promotion from Director of Engineering to the position of Director of Operations of our Athens office. In this new role, Mike will be responsible for the day-to-day functions of W&A’s Athens office. Some of his new responsibilities will include implementation of the firm’s five-year strategic plan, client and personnel relations and management, business development, and budgeting.
Mike joined W&A in 2004 as part of the engineering department. Prior to joining W&A, he gained significant experience in civil engineering through his work as a Land Development Engineer for the Athens-Clarke County Department of Transportation and Public Works. That position placed him in charge of the Flood Plain Administration, Plan Review, as well as the Soil Erosion & Sediment Control Program.
Since joining W&A, Mike has successfully managed complex projects through all phases of design and construction, both locally and across the country. Mike has also managed traffic engineering projects that include traffic impact studies and analysis, signal warrant analysis, and signal designs.
The W&A team is grateful to have Mike as a part of our organization. He brings innovation and problem solving to all facets of the design and planning phases of the projects he manages. Mike is a true team player and a thoughtful leader that sets the example for delivering the highest level of detail and dedication on every job—big or small. Please help us welcome and support Mike Greenlee in his new role.
