The month of February has been a busy month for the W&A staff as we prepare for two community events taking place on Thursday, February 20th.
Kicking off the morning of the 20th, W&A will be hosting the ACC Industry Sustainable Industry Roundtable. Community members and business & industry professionals alike are invited to share sustainable practices in a discussion organized by Athens-Clarke County Recycling Division and hosted by W&A Engineering. This will include a tour of W&A’s new office building which is an adaptive reuse of a renovated historical textile manufacturing facility located in the Southern Mill. They will also share an overview of their business, their sustainability practices including their recent installation for solar panels, and conclude with an open group discussion.
Beginning at 4 PM, W&A will be hosting it’s 20th Anniversary & Open House Celebration where we will also be hosting the Athens Chamber Business After Hours, until 7 PM. This Business After Hours event includes a bonus! Not only are you invited to check out our new space on Oneta St. at our Open House….but you can also learn more about W&A’s exciting year-long project which benefits our entire community!
