Growing with W&A: Meet Jason Dye!

A Senior Civil Designer on our Nashville team, Jason Dye has been with W&A Engineering since April 2022. Having earned his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management/Land Surveying from Western Kentucky University in 2016, Jason brings nearly a decade of industry experience to our Nashville team of Civil Engineers and Land Surveyors.

With a robust background in land development and surveying, Jason’s day-to-day centers around the project management of projects involving subdivisions and platting. From subdivision concept layouts, preliminary plats, and final plats, Jason streamlines his client’s development process while improving quality control throughout the design and development phases of construction.

One such project—and Jason’s favorite project he’s been a part of—is McClure Farms.

“McClure Farms has been the biggest stand out so far,” Jason said. “The size and scope of this development has been great experience. With 400+ lots, mixed housing types, and over 100 acres in size, the scale of this development was challenging at first but rewarding.”

Jason’s favorite part of being a member of the Nashville team is the collaborative culture of his teams.

“My favorite part of working at W&A Engineering is the collaboration and groupthink amongst the team we have created,” Jason Dye said. “Working with a team of young professionals on large developments has been a vital part of my growth over the last 8 months.”

Outside of the office, Jason and his wife, Paige, are actively renovating their house and tinkering with a series of classic cards. The two are currently flipping their 5th house and are prepping to start building their next home within the year. He does 100% of all renovations himself and thoroughly enjoys being able to fix most construction issue. His family also includes a Siberian Husky, Nila, a Golden Retriever, Hank, and a Siamese Cat, Butter.

Jason is currently preparing for his land surveying exam and has also enrolled in PMP classes. We wouldn’t be able to build better communities across the southeast without professionals like Jason who serve their clients with a wealth of industry knowledge and unparalleled customer service.
